There is something very special about spending a few minutes sat outside Shepherds, Parkmill, licking or nibbling away at a freshly purchased ice-cream or lollipop. I have lost count of how many times I have sat on that bench outside the shop, idly watching the world pass by as I waited for a bus to return me to my home in Swansea. But every last one of those occasions were precious, meditative moments, which I spent recollecting the wonderful beauty and tranquility of the Gower countryside I had just visited - a time of calm before being carried back to the hustle and bustle of city life.
